“Oh, I am,” Finbar grinned down at Cho, amused by her reaction and astounded by what her sleepy, muttered words had stirred in him. His smile only grew warmer when she said the words she hadn’t meant to say, and though her nervousness was very obvious, he didn’t regret pushing her for them… he just hoped that one day she would lose that nervousness or at least see that she had nothing to be nervous about when it came to him.
But it didn’t stop there, apparently, and a moment later, he was looking into the only part still visible of her; a pair of mirthfully warm, dark eyes. “You’re adorable,” he told her and slowly eased the sheet down so he could see her smile. The smile on his lips sobered until he was just looking at her, his eyes filled with the warmth and admiration he felt for her. “Mean it, Babe,” he said gently. “You wouldn’t be wrong.”
