RP: Finnigans Saturday night
Who: Cormac + OPEN (ooc: feel free to start other threads, as well!)
What: Cormac hits the Pub
Where: Finnigan's
When: Saturday, June 20th, 2005
Rating: TBD

Cormac was planning on spending Sunday with his parents in Scotland and then sending a note to Lavender late in the evening, figuring she'd be with her own family for the day as well, but he wanted to let her know he'd finally figured things out. He wanted to invite her to a long weekend holiday in Watergate Bay, in Cornwall, along the coast, with sun and waves and her in a little bathing suit, if he had his way.

But until tomorrow, he was bored, so he'd wandered over the Pub in hopes of some entertainment. Friday nights were open mic, but he wasn't sure if there was anything on Saturdays, and at the very least he could get a good stout and wouldn't have to cook himself dinner. Settling into the bar, he gave a couple of smiles around the room and ordered his meal and looked to where the stage was normally set up. No such luck tonight, it seemed, so he contented himself with pulling out his journal and flipping through some of the more recent entries.

Angelina had decided that as much as she was fine with cooking today would be a pub evening. It had the added benefits of her getting fed, not having to drink alone and possibly meeting some fun people too.

She had glanced down at her combo of bright blue cropped trousers and flowery top and shrugged, sticking her feet into some sandals, and grabbed her bag and jacket before having out. She bounced right up to the bar when she arrived and ordered herself a pint of cider. "So, any food suggestions, or even better is there anything I should avoid?" she said, grinning at the man on one of the stools near her.

Cormac turned toward the voice, "Angelina Johnson?!" He grinned, he hadn't seen her in years, and while she and her group of friends hadn't been his biggest fans in school, they'd always been nice enough and he'd always been glad to spend time with them - as much as he was glad to spend time with anyone in school, that is, generally having his head too far up his arse to notice others.

He stood, indicating the stool next to him, "Have a seat, you're back? I thought you were playing in an international league?" Johnson had always been brilliant on the pitch, he could give her that much credit.

Angelina hadn't actually recognised the man when she'd come up to him, but clearly he knew her, although she was initially drawing a blank. Probably in her house at a guess. She liked people though so she slid up onto the stool he'd gestured to.

"Yeah, that'd be me," she said and gave him a typically sunny smile. "And yeah, I was in New Zealand basically since I left Hogwarts. I visited most years, got back a month ago. I'm joining the Arrows next season." She took a hefty swig of her pint when it was placed in front of her and passed over her money.

"How about you? What have you been up to?" she asked. She still couldn't quite remember his name, especially since he clearly didn't look like a teenager any more and that was when she'd probably had her last clear memory of whoever he was. She had a feeling he wasn't the most popular person around in school, although if pressed she wouldn't have known why.
