Yes, allies are welcome, but as usual if someone you're not interested in due to their gender flirts with you a simple No is all it takes. Homophobia, transphobia etc. will NOT be tolerated. Nor will sexual harassment.
We do not JUST cater to the L and G portions of the queer community. BTIQA are both welcome and encouraged.
Oh and before I forget. Pride is a Muggle thing where the LGBTQ+ community (anyone who isn't heterosexual/straight or doesn't identify with the gender they were assigned at birth) come together to celebrate their existence and also get political about rights and protections which they want to exist.
L = Lesbian: women attracted to women G = Gay: men attracted to men (can also be used by lesbians) B = Bisexual: people attracted to others of more than one gender (definitions vary a bit but that's a good start) T = Trans (either Transexual or Transgender, the latter is I think the preferred by most): People who do not identify with the gender they were assigned at birth I = Intersex: people who have any one of a number of intersex conditions which may well make their genitalia ambiguous in some way Q = Queer or Questioning: Queer is a bit of an overarching term for anyone whose sexuality is not straight and/or gender is not as assigned at birth. This includes people whose gender falls outside the male/female binary who may use many terms. Questioning is for people who are questioning their gender or sexual identity in some way. A = Asexual: people who do not feel sexual attraction, or with some modifiers they might experience it in only certain circumstances.
Ally = A person who does not fall on the LGBTQ+ spectrum but is supportive of them and their aims etc.
ooc: if anyone wants to make this into some kind of poster that'd be awesome.
