Journal - Vacation!
Greetings from beautiful Magaluf! I figured I should listen to my mates (especially before Alicia sent me a howler) and take a much needed vacation.

So I've spent the last couple of weeks on the beach and I've taken up a new sport: surfing! It's surprisingly relaxing, though I would be interested in competing eventually, so I've been working on my technique to improve. Also the balance needed for staying on the board has taught me quite a bit about staying on my broom and better broom control. I've been drawing up some plans and I'm excited to try out some new techniques when I get back.

Am I missing anything in good ol' Blighty?

You learn so much from other sports, though! Like I mentioned, the balance needed for surfing has taught me loads about better broom balance and control. I wish it wasn't holiday season (or big-bug-season) else I'd try out my broom in the mountains, but sadly it's strongly advised (their words, not mine) to not go off the tourist areas.

Cheers! I was worried with all this incredible Spanish food I would gain a stone or two.

Oh really? Well, my smug face says you should come here to even better weather. You know you could use a vacation as well. I'll be here for two more weeks and its brilliant!

Merlin you've missed the part where I will pretty much try any sport going. Actually any active anything to be honest. Oh yes, I was in NZ, you forgot my cute face existed! I've done a bit of surfing though, and you're right about the balance thing. Different point of balance, but same idea.

No, you're fine. Mind you it is the off-season, a little bit of gained weight isn't going to harm you.

I say again, New Zealand. I'm kind of welcoming the rain for once, plus I need to get used to it before it really sets in. I mean the Kiwis get it too, but it's generally a bit warmer than it is here. I think I'll stay where I am, but I might do some travelling before the season starts up again.

	Aww, so sweet to me! Yeah, it is a bit far from here. And the surf in NZ is great, North Island has more good breaks than South, and it's not too far from Australia either. Plus slightly less need for the wetsuit to keep warm. I mean, still a good plan to wear one, but unlike the UK you're unlikely to freeze something important off. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Well it was either get out of the country or spend time with the family...which means dad and Logan would want to race aroud on brooms, so it was a pretty simple solution. Of course!
