Re: Lucy/Marietta
After a moment's concentration, Lucy nodded. "Dominic is the dark-haired guy who's usually around?" she asked, seeking more confirmation than anyone. She was still getting to know how things worked in Monument Alley, and didn't know everyone yet. "The magic that goes into all this stuff is really impressive." There was the slightest wistful note in her voice, but she quickly moved on. "It seems like you've been the one bringing people together, though. I'd never have known about the events if it weren't for you."
It was only because they were talking about spells anyway that Lucy was able to follow the apparent leap of logic Marietta made, and quickly shook her head. "No. Wow, I guess you guys don't have that stuff." There were so many differences it still made her head spin, even after working in the wizarding world for a few months. "No, this is all stuff I did in my muggle primary school - no magic involved. For the three-legged race, you just tie something round -" She paused, realising she didn't even know whether Marietta was picture one person or two or what. "So, you get two people to stand next to each other, and you tie this leg -" she gestured to her own leg nearest Marietta "to this one." She gestured again, this time to Marietta's leg. "Then they have to run. Everyone usually falls over, and the team that started out slowest will usually win, if they're careful. It's good fun." Lucy offered a smile. "Should I explain an egg and spoon race, too?"
