It never hurt to stop in and see what 'the competition' might be up to. Adrian didn't really consider Draco his competition, and since Astro had opened he hadn't seen a drop in his sales, and they were working together on some things, too, but Adrian's father had asked how Draco's shop was doing, so he stopped in on Sunday afternoon to peruse the shelves and maybe see if his old friend was around.

Draco had been understanding when Adrian had told Alicia of his family's past, and Alicia had 'forgiven' him, but it was still something else entirely to have someone around like Draco who could better understand. Just as those who followed their parents in the path of the Order, those who were at the mercy of their family legacies under Voldemort had to deal with the aftermath.

Adrian looked up and smiled when Draco called to him. "Hello there," he headed toward Draco and put out his hand for a shake. "Going all right, Father was asking about the 'new business' I'm doing so I thought I'd stop in and give him a personal account, I think he's skeptical of partnerships," he chuckled. The Puceys had only ever sold their potions themselves, with much secrecy as to their specialties and recipes and all that.

"How are you doing?" Adrian knew he wasn't always the best friend - he'd go a full month without seeing Blaise sometimes, and couldn't remember the last time he'd sent a note to Travers just checking in, but since he'd been with Alicia he'd been making more of an effort.

Draco shook it with a grin, "Ah well that's understandable. You can report back that all is going well so far" he replied, his own parents would have felt similarly since Malfoy's needed nobody else. But he wasn't sure they knew he had a shop yet let alone the goings of of it.

"Alright. It's taking a little time, getting used to being back and seeing people around" especially those who didn't have the greatest history with him, "But it's good" he nodded. And it was, he liked being more settled and getting involved too. He'd enjoyed the chess club thoroughly and was glad he'd joined.
