Dean had always maintained that he was fine with the arrangement Seamus and Justin had, and he had been mostly, and now he'd managed to work out exactly what his reservation was (unrecognised jealousy). Still, the admission made him stiffen slightly. Hopefully Seamus would attribute it to irritation at Justin, which was admittedly part of the issue when his name was mentioned. "I dunno, dude. I've not seen him around either. I mean, we were never as close as you guys, well, obviously, but even friendship wise," he shrugged and then swallowed. "I didn't think it was anything you'd done, just that he stopped being around for whatever reason that he never told anyone," he said. He was possibly being more placating than Seamus wanted or needed, but he since he wanted to call him a dickhead and berate him for fucking around with Seamus' feelings it had seemed a slightly safer option.
He sipped his drink and sighed. "Sex is never simple, well never has been in my experience. You're inviting people to do something really intimate with you. Plus it's fucking weird. I mean sure it feels great, but it's odd as hell," he said. Both he and Seamus had additional reasons to find sex a bit confronting but he was fairly sure other people found it odd too.
Seamus' mood hadn't really perked up yet, and Dean could tell, so he shuffled his wand out and aimed a cleaning spell at hand so that he could sift his hand through Seamus' hair. A second or two later he was stroking gently, letting Seamus relax against him as much as he wanted. "We always had a good time. I should let Cat read Beedle the Bard sometime, she was too little, or out or something when we did that with Jess," he said starting to relax slightly more himself. "She's the one that loves stories. And the Disney collection had definitely been hijacked by Jess and Cat by the time you saw it. I wasn't there often enough to defend it even from tiny girls," he said, smiling at the memory of a very insistent Jess and Cat, and their pitiful expressions and threatening to tell Aunt Rose he'd made them cry.
