"Painting is cool. The only thing I can paint is a house," Genie joked, thanking her for the nuts and picking up a couple to munch. "My friend Alex, he sketches some, but he won't hardly ever let any of us see it. I can't even get him to sit for a photo, though, let alone a portrait." She sighed with faux drama, flashing her a smile.
She sniffed the air surreptitiously and smelled the wine. Not her thing, but whatever. She took a long drink of her beer. "So do you do portraits for people?" she asked curiously, heedless that any of her various questions or chatter could be prying.
