Finbar had known that something was off, when his niece, Deirdre, had Flooed him to tell him about the horror of a birthday her daughter had just been to. Oh, the birthday had been amazingly planned and everything had looked absolutely stunning, but it just hadn’t been a child’s birthday party, and then she had proceeded to talk about the poor party planner who had kept a brave face and done what she could to keep it from turning into a complete disaster. After a bit of prodding, Cho’s name had come up, and he could only imagine how hard it would have been for Cho.
Not wanting to jump to any more conclusions than that, he had put on a clean shirt and had Flooed to Cho’s place, set on taking things from there, all depending on how she was taking this.
“It’s just me, babe!” he called back when he heard her voice from her bedroom. “You all right in there?” he asked as he made his way towards the bedroom door and knocked gently.
