Dennis looked around dolefully. If he were completely honest with himself, he'd admit that he didn't like Victis Honor Day. It brought back far too many difficult and uncomfortable memories. Still, part of being an adult was facing these sort of things head on. Plus, Rose would have 'unleashed the wriggle' on him if he didn't come, so really what choice had he had?

He was just staring meditatively at the fortune teller's tent, completely off in his own little world when he was brought rather magnificently to the present by someone bumping into him. He blinked owlishly and looked to see Dominic, and found himelf blushing for no particular reason. "Oh it's completely fine," he replied with a sheepish grin. "I was actually off with the fairies and should probably have been paying attention." He looked at the tent and back at the rather attractive man and lifted an eyebrow. "Find out anything interesting? Portents of mildly averted concussions?"

Dominic and Dennis

"Dennis," Dominic greeted, glad he'd bumped into someone he knew - though not exactly thrilled it was Dennis, specifically. Under normal circumstances, he'd have no problem with bumping into him, but this particular weekend, Dominic really felt like he just wanted to avoid everyone he knew had suffered losses in the Battle. He didn't know what to say or how to act - so he just did his best to pretend it was a normal day.

He glanced back at the tent and shrugged. "Apparently she's going to send me a formal reading on Tuesday, so she didn't say much." What she had said hadn't seemed particularly positive, though. A lot about dark shadows and small misfortunes escalating. "You going to give it a go?" There was a bit of a queue by now, a crowd attracted by the fact the woman was apparently a true seer.
