I prefer to simply keep busy most of the time." If she kept busy and didn't let her mind wander, she coped infinitely better than if she let herself dwell and think too much, as she'd done the last few days.
She shook her head slightly as she looked in the mirror. She pulled out the pin and let go of the spell at the same time, letting the green streaked locks tumble to frame the mask. She smiled, and this time it did reach her eyes, possibly the first time all day. "No, it looks great," she told him, voice sincere. "I'm glad I decided to have it done." If it made her happy for even a few minutes, well, then it was definitely worth it.
