"Beyond the fact I love and am good at my job, art is a great distraction for me. Most of the time you can immerse yourself in whatever you're creating and ignore everything around you. Although sometimes you can do the sort of jobs that let your mind wander and contemplate whatever," he said. He didn't often voice this sort of reasoning aloud but he'd thought it often enough and he knew well it was the sort of day for it to be mildly helpful, or just shareable.
He smiled slowly at her question. "I think so," he said.
