The woman thankfully didn't seem to be too twitchy or ticklish so he didn't have to keep stopping for that.
"Yes, it does a bit," he agreed faintly. It wasn't like she was a child, she was probably somewhere around his own age so she knew only too well what they were commemorating here. He didn't recognise her though, so he didn't want to presume anything and ask any more.
He began to work with the next colour, starting to extend the right side, as he looked at her, slightly further down her cheek to make the asymmetry work. Nothing intricate so far, just a little blending between the two edges of colour. "Are you here with someone?" he asked, and then winced and continued. "I, er, can work in silence if you like, I know it's not the easiest day for people." He knew that only too well. He'd taken a little extra calming potion this morning and he had some emergency in his pocket too and was half expecting to need it later.
