Re: Face Painting/ Caricatures: Dean and Pandora
He huffed. "I've been painting kids mostly so far and nobody's gone away crying yet," he reassured her. Whiny, yes, when the dragon wasn't exactly the right shade of blue (which he didn't have), bit of a temper tantrum at the lack of glitter, but no actual tears.
"Of course," he said and got to painting right away, covering her eyelids with smooth strokes before sweeping across the bridge of her nose between them and then moving carefully to do under her eyes, getting as close as he could to her eyeline while being sure he wasn't going to poke her with bristles. He worked carefully outwards, filling in the area to just around the outside of her eye sockets with the lightest green he was using. When he was done with that he shifted his head side to side a little checking her eyelids were dry. "You can open your eyes for now," he said, reaching for his next shade. She'd need to close them again in a bit when he was done with the base colours, but for now she'd be fine.
"I'm glad the weather's holding," he said. There was no guarantee that the start of may would be dry, and indeed previous years it had been at least somewhat wet. He wasn't sure how she felt about small talk, but that seemed the safest topic, and at least one that would keep them away from the purpose of the day, which was touchy to say the least.
