Alicia Spinnet-Pucey ([info]_alicia_) wrote in [info]finnigans_rpg,
Alicia and Adrian and OPEN
Truth be told: Alicia didn’t remember much from the Final Battle. Bits and pieces, flashes of memories from here and there. Like Susan crying, the smile on Fred’s face, Oliver asking her why she was packing plush animals into her Healer bag, and the sight of a pile of biscuits on a platter in the middle of the rubble. What she did remember clearly, however, was the sense of purpose she had felt, that for once, in all of her grief and mourning she knew what to do and where to be. So it was with an odd sense of proud and melancholy nostalgia that she had arrived in Hogsmeade with Adrian and the twins.

Along with the twins, she had visited the gravesites of her friends, just like they had done every year since the war, and just like she had done on the 25th when they had gone to Daniel’s and Nigel’s graves. She had asked Adrian if he had wanted to come along, and had understood when he had opted out. It couldn’t be easy for him, she was sure of that, but hadn’t wanted to press him about it. Afterwards they had met up with Adrian and had Flooed to Hogsmeade together. It hadn’t taken long before the first of “her” kids had shown up to say ‘hello’ and fill her in on the latest news, and Alicia had enjoyed hearing it all and sending them off again, sometimes with a couple of Galleons if she knew them to be from families who couldn’t afford a whole lot. Several of them she had personally signed permission slips for in order for them to leave the school today, and every single one of them had thanked her for it.

One of the girls, a sixth year student and Ravenclaw Prefect had brought over three of her friends and had asked if they could go take Isla and Liam to look at the Winged Horses. Alicia had sent them off with her blessing and permission to go for a ride if that was something they wanted to do. Watching them head off, she laced her fingers through Adrian’s and rested her head against her shoulder.
