He stuck his tongue out at her and rolled his eyes. "I would make a terrible... whatever you call a human person you ride into battle" he said and snorted. He shook his head at her tendency to have at the very least violent thoughts about her suspects. He didn't really want to know. "Yeah, we talked about it, and with the nightmares it's honestly a good option, and yes, I think it's helping. I mean the nightmares were all sort of doubling up on each other and making my sleep shit before I started taking it, and the routine is really helping too."
"Yeah, well you know me. My reading taste is pretty limited," he said with a shrug. He was supremely unconcerned about her brother's thoughts, unlike Susan and his sisters he'd never especially bonded with Edgar that much. Not that he was likeable, but they'd never become friends as such.
He couldn't help the way his mouth twitched in a smile at Susan's assertion that he wouldn't lose Seamus. Not that was he so sure if he revealed his feelings, but since he had no plans to do that he would be okay. "Yeah, well, I mean, prizes for your description, but yeah, people can get mean when defensive. And well, I'll try and help with the hurt if or when it happens," he said, shrugging. He knew it was self-destructive but he wouldn't change that behaviour because it wasn't like he was going to stop years of helping just because it might be uncomfortable for a while.
He just laughed at her teasing, if she wanted a yoga studio she had plenty of other spaces to choose from. He paused, thinking through Herbology lessons at Hogwarts, the one subject Gryffindor and Hufflepuff had shared. He vaguely remembered who Susan was talking about. "Small girl? Kind of quiet?" he asked. He didn't really remember much about her. "That... sounds unpleasant," he said. "At least she's got you to stay with. I hope you warned her about the stray swimmer on a Thursday," he joked.
"I'm not saying you're a bad person, just that your money occasionally makes me a little uncomfortable. Besides, I love you anyway, and you buying my art is more than enough help, thank you," he said, gesturing vaguely to the rest of the room. Plus that way he actually felt like he earned the money rather than just being given it, even as a loan. Besides he'd never actually been on the point of starving or anything like that, just had to get a little creative with his recipes to keep them interesting when he was still living on apprentice wages. "You know, and we're all stubborn as hell."
