Shopping Who: Lucy and Millicent What: Lunch & shopping Where: London When: Friday 24th April, afternoon Rating: SFW
Lucy blotted the ink on the last of her letters and slid it into the envelope before adding it to the pile of mail to be sent. Even after weeks at IE, she still felt a moment of amusement at how surreal it was to reach for parchment and ink instead of a biro and a printed letterhead. Some customers got the muggle treatment, of course, but there were enough who preferred things to be done the 'magical' way that she rarely went a day without taking up her quill. The skills she'd developed at school had come back to her, at least as far as writing materials. Her magic was still unreliable in the extreme, so much so that she knew she'd have to broach the topic with someone and see what could be done. She just hadn't decided who yet.
Going to retrieve her jacket, she put that thought out of her mind for the moment. This afternoon she was going to get some new robes - in case she had to meet any of their more traditional customers face-to-face. She didn't know whether Rich or Millicent had suggested that Millicent go with her, but she was grateful. Alone, she'd have had no idea where to go and even less what was or wasn't acceptable wizarding fashion. Could she get robes in something other than Hogwarts-uniform black? She hoped so, but maybe that would be considered to casual. With her mind full of these sorts of questions, she took the lift down to the lobby, where she'd agreed to meet Millicent for lunch so they could discuss what they needed to buy and where.
