In a little over a month I will be a quarter of a century old and what do I have to show for it?
Private - other pureblood Slytherins of like mind can see Nothing, that is what I have to show for it. In my lifetime my mother and the parents of my contemporaries watched their way of life disappear. What had been certain upon our births is now no longer an acceptable possibility. Even if my generation chose to accept and uphold those traditions we would be ostracized and belittled. Anything not seen as full acceptance of Muggle culture is decried as hatred and intolerance.
I definitely do not agree with the manner in which some attempted to wipe away all that was not pure. Still there were some things that were worth keeping because not all tradition is bad. Why is it demanded that we accept things we do not understand and have no history of when others refuse to do the same?
