Journal Entry: Tristan Travers
I haven't gotten a proper party invitation in ages! This is kind of exciting. ~~I have nothing to wear, though.~~ ~~I RSVP'd before anyone could realise there'd been a mistake in inviting me.~~ The idea of shopping for new robes, however, isn't quite as exciting. But it gives me an excuse to ~~get out of b~~ update my wardrobe. It needs it. I'm just not looking forward to the standing still while I'm fitted for ~~robes that fit~~ new robes.

I can't tell if it's fancy or not. It's a birthday party, and the invitation says it's a casual event, but it could be a bit on the fancy side. I need new robes regardless, however. I'll probably try to find some middle ground between too fancy and too casual. But I'll say that it's fancier than what I'm currently used to, too, which is basically just Wingbeat, heh.

	If I can't wear jeans, it's not casual in my book. But Zacharias says a dress should be fine, which makes me happy since I abhor dress robes. ~~I dislike robes in general. I don't understand them!~~ But shopping is fun, so at least there's that! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I tried those once -- I think that's what they were. They were very uncomfortable. But there is the shopping part! If it could be done without the trying on part, it'd be even more enjoyable. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Yes. Well, Rich must have missed you in his rounds when you went to the loo, he's really an exemplary host. 	I didn't not want to talk to anyone. I was just anxious. ~~Like right now, and a lo~~ It'd been awhile since I'd been to any kind of proper social function with people to interact with is all. 	I'll be attending, too. I was somewhat surprised to get an invitation, if I'm honest, though I suppose the McLaggen's being my blood and my working with Ms. Goyle on parties probably had something to do with it. It could be any reason, I imagine. I mean, someone is talking about wanting to wear Muggle clothes, so it can't be an entirely exclusive birthday party given the hostess and the person it's for. Still, I was also surprised.

I'm not against a shopping partner. I guess it comes down to if ~~you want to be seen with~~ ~~I won't be kicked out of stores becau~~ our schedules match up enough for it. You don't have to stick around for the measuring part, of course. Unless you find a robe you want, that is.
