Chess
The chess club's been running for over two years now, and it's getting impossible for new members to get their names up the leaderboard when me and Ron have points going back to the beginning. So I've wiped it completely clean and we're starting a new tournament! One match a week, and I'll keep track of the scores to see who comes out on top. We'll still have tactics meetings and lessons before or after the match - especially if it's a short one and I'll find a way to work new players into the mix if they arrive.

We're starting off tonight with a match between Tristan Travers and Mrs Wideacre, so stop into the Roost around six to see what we're all about!

Yes, because only two people are allowed to be any good. Clearly it's rigged, especially if you haven't cleared the board in two years. Who does that? Way to discourage newer members and let them know only a few people are allowed to be any good at ~~I don't know why I stay in this club. My mind's not been in the right place for it in months.~~ ~~Maybe I'll just~~

Thank you for the reminder. I think late night bar tending is affecting my ability to remember anything but drink orders.

	Now that I don't have the threat of antisocial hours hanging over me, I might look into setting up a second meeting with a few normal-sized chessboards for people to use. Maybe in the Corner or the Den? What do you reckon? (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I don't see it being something that needs much supervision. People can even bring their own boards or pieces. I could trial it for a few weeks, see how it goes? (Reply to this) (Parent)
