Viktor was running on fumes. All his energy these days was being sapped by Quidditch and his children, not necessarily in that order. It was no one’s fault; the children kept passing the change-of-seasons bug back and forth, and Misha had been especially fussy lately. He thought the end was finally in sight, except now in addition to that, he was dealing with the press.

Aside from the brief journal the other day, he was letting his PR guru handle it, but it had crept under his skin in a way the press hadn’t managed to since his divorce. Probably because he was tired and ill on and off as well.

But today he was doing a little shopping in the alleys, trying to unwind by himself while his mother watched the children. She’d come back the other day to give him a much needed break that wasn’t given by Amiri.
