Owl to Melinda
Dear Melinda,

I am sorry for being rather out of touch lately, but the children have been unwell. I finally have a mostly complete list of Tsveta's opinions on the teas, the ones I haven't sent you already, which we have greatly enjoyed taste testing this month. There are a few that we'll be attempting again, since her taste has been a bit off the past week or so, but this is mostly what she thinks, in mostly her own words.

I cannot thank you enough for the samples. It's given us many enjoyable times. Tsveta wants to meet you sometime to thank you for herself, and perhaps to come taste her favorite teas in a little tea party. Do not feel obligated, however, though it would be nice to see you other than briefly over the counter of the shop.

Thank you so much.

Best regards,

Viktor

Dear Viktor,

Oh no, the poor dears. I can imagine that must be a handful, not to mention rather worrisome, to have two unwell children, so please, don't ever worry about putting them first. I'm sending along a selection of lollipops that I have been working on with my dad, specifically with sick children in mind to soothe sore throats, ease coughs, and reduce fevers without them having to ingest anything foul tasting.

And thank you so much to Tsveta (and you, of course). Her opinion is very valued and it will be included the next time I place orders for arrangements for children. I've also included some more samples for her to try out, both for now when her taste is off, and later if she's still feeling up for it. I really hope both of them feel better real soon.

I would love to attend a tea party with her, or help her arrange it beforehand, if she's interested. I'm free every Sunday and Monday, so anytime you're feeling up for it. Some place a bit more private than the shop, I agree, would be preferred, and I'll be looking forward to it.

If there is anything I can do to help you out, anything you need, even if it's just swinging by the green grocer for oranges, then please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,

Melinda

Dear Melinda,

The lollipops are much appreciated, especially with Misha. He's very difficult to get things that don't taste good down, and since he's not old enough to just give him certain things, it's hard going. I don't think we've had a complete night's rest in a while. But I think if going down for his nap today was any example, these will help greatly.

She'll love playing with the new teas. Some days I wonder if this new fascination with teas is an indication of interest in potions. Thank you so much for your well wishes; they're very much appreciated.

I'd love for you to help plan something for her soon, when she's well and I know i won't be unintentionally spreading germs to anyone else. Perhaps at my place or somewhere small I can rent out, with a few of her friends.

You are so kind, Melinda. I will let you know if you can help.

Best regards,

Viktor
