Dominic could sense instantly that he'd misstepped and so he didn't follow when Marietta pulled back, letting her put as much distance between them as she felt comfortable with. "Why wouldn't they?" he asked. "You're giving them a chance to drink and have fun and make fools of themselves." He tipped his head slightly towards the obstacle course on his final words. "The entry fee isn't more than the drinks would cost them from the bar." He had no doubt that people would show up - maybe not a great crowd, but as he'd said, word would spread and then next time (assuming there was a next time) there'd be more.
Nodding, Dominic made his way over to the bar, glancing down at the recipe provided for the first drink. "We really need Seamus for this," he said, his tone light, "he's the one with all the bar tending experience. I apologise in advance if it tastes foul." He surveyed the ingredients, setting the ones he would need to hand. "Here goes nothing," he said once he'd set up and grabbed a glass.
