Charlie sighed, swinging his good leg slightly. "Well, it'd be nice if it wasn't a reaction I have, but I guess we can't have fucking everything," he said. At least she wasn't giving him shit about it, and she understood more than most other people would have done. He listened with interest as she changed the music, vaguely recognising the voice as someone he'd heard before.
He nodded his thanks as he took the bottle of water. "Ta," he said, twisting off the cap and taking a sip. "It's looking good," he said, tilting his head side to side so he could see more of the inked parts. "I mean it's puffy and bleeding, but I can see where it's going to turn out great," he said. That part of the experience he remembered vividly. His first dragon in particular had looked pretty awful at first because of the blood, at least this was pretty red so it blended in a bit. "I hadn't realised we were so far on though, got a bit distracted," he said, amusement lacing his tone.
