Staley wanted to chuckle at the comment, because she'd had that exact same thought process before, but held it in, since she didn't want Charlie to think she was laughing at him. "It's always nice to meet someone of the same mindset," she said instead, risking a glance over her shoulder to see Charlie sitting up. "But yeah, it's a pretty common reaction, so..." She shrugged, trying to convey that the situation wasn't a big deal, and wasn't making her uncomfortable. Giving him a few more moments, she changed the disc in the player, exchanging Billy Joel for Phil Collins after a few seconds of deliberating on Jimmy Buffet.

"What do you think so far?" she asked, grabbing two bottles of water from the counter and offering one to Charlie as she came back over to the table. "We're actually about halfway done," Stacey commented before taking a sip, curious to know how the process was going on his end.
