Stacey had been lost in her own mind, that place she went to when concentrating on the task at hand, so it took her a moment to really understand what Charlie had said. Pulling the gun away from his skin and examining the progress so far, she nodded as an answer while attempting to find her voice.
She didn't look away from the area she was inking at the time as she answered, "Certainly. I've got one more block with this color, and then we'll pause for a bit, if that's okay?" She wouldn't have asked if there had been any more pain or hesitation in her customer's tone, but Charlie sounded as though everything was going fine, and had said 'soon' instead of 'now'. That, along with knowing he'd had tattoos done before, had her thinking that he just needed a few minutes to stretch out and rearrange, muscles starting to hurt from staying in one place for too long. It wasn't unusual, she knew from experiences on both sides of the gun, though admittedly she was being even more careful than normal, what with the location and situation of Charlie's ink.
