Charlie took the pillow with a little nod of thanks and shifted it around a little until it was in a position that would hold his leg up without getting in the way too much. "I think this should work, thanks," he said, as he lay back again. "Honestly though, I don't mind getting a bit poked around a bit, I'm not fragile, missing leg aside." People's responses to discovering he was missing a leg were pretty varied and thinking he was somehow fragile was pretty common if people didn't already know him. Stacey didn't really seem to be in that column, but it was always worth a reminder.

"It'll be good to have a few days off after this, means I can hang around my flat and just have to worry about warding off the cat rather than too much moving," he said.
