Charlie had been looking forward to this day ever since he'd booked the session, and even back as far as when he'd chosen his design with Stacey. Taking part in the St. Patrick's scavenger hunt with her had been a lot of fun, even though they hadn't won.
After two nights of St. Patrick's themed cocktails and decorations he had been glad to return to normal for Saturday, even if it was still busy. Despite the late night he'd woken far earlier than usual and skipped putting on his prosthetic, not wanting his stump under pressure before got his new ink, plus he knew that putting it on to go was only going to result in having to carry it home again, which seemed pointless.
After he'd eaten his middle-of-the-day breakfast and shoved a banana and a paper bag of nuts in the pockets of his leather jacket he played with Echo for a while before he needed to leave.
He knew from when he'd first lost his leg that apparating on crutches took a bit of getting used to, but even though he was out of practice he managed it without too much wobbling and quickly made his way over to the shop, pushing open the door to the shop with a grin on his face and easily using one crutch to swing the door closed behind him. He often felt a little self-conscious when he was out with one of his trouser legs pinned up, but he was feeling fine about it today.
