Advertising on the journal doesn't do all that much for sales in general, but it boosts the specials that we run for whichever occasions. It's a lot easier to do than advertising through The Prophet (which I've stopped doing since they ran that story - there's simply no way I'm paying them to do anything, at all), in that I can make last minute changes if a supplier should fall through, just like I can do specials at a minute's notice, if we have, for instance, a lot of leftover strawberry tarts.
So for specials, yes, it does wonders, whereas the regular things... people already know them, so I don't have to remind them of that.
