Journal - Forewarned is forearmed
Just to let everyone know if you see me hopping around on my crutches after next weekend it's because I've had a new tattoo, not because I've done myself extra damage.

I'm looking forward to it already, it's been ages in the planning and ages since I've had new ink.

I'm looking forward to the St Patrick's day hunt too. Should be fun.

It's on the notice board but I'm taking next Sunday (22nd) off and I won't be able to take a bar shift until my new ink is healed, but I'll still be about as usual.

Keep an eye on that for updates on the upgrades on the club too. I'll still be opening up for Mr. Chambers.

	I do, but only because the tattoo is going to be on the stump of my leg and it will hurt like fuck to put my prosthetic on until it's healed. It won't be until 22nd and later, but I thought it might save some questions. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	It's a pattern of concentric circles which will stretch up my stump. It's an awesome multicoloured thing in sections but really fucking hard to describe. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Me too. I've seen what you were saying to Stacey, and I would have offered to let you come when I have my tattoo but because of where it is it's likely to be more painful than average so it's not the best example. ~~And it feels like a private thing.~~ (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	It depends on the person but I've found that further away from bone (so on your thigh like mine will be) is actually less painful. But I have scars on my leg, and that can make it worse. Of course my other tattoos have involved a lot of things near bones and it's never bothered me horribly, but there's always a first time. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	No, none of mine are actually magical, although you can get magical tattoos. Combination of circumstances meant I couldn't with my current ones and I decided against it for my new one. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	It depends on each person, but yes, most tattoos hurt in some way. I'm probably going to have another one done sometime next month as my birthday present to myself, so if you'd like, I can let you when that's going to happen so you can see for yourself? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I should have asked Stacey for a copy or something. It's really fucking hard to describe. It's a pattern of concentric circles split into little blocks of colour. Mostly red. 	You didn't. I assume most people know by now. Vipertooth took a chunk out of my leg last February and I had to have it amputated to stop the venom spreading. So no more working with dragons for me because it screwed with my reaction times on a broom. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	My current two are both dragons, but thankfully muggles aren't surprised by them. One's just rather more accurate than they might usually be! I got them both in Romania and there wasn't a wizarding tattoo artist, so it had to be muggle and one of my colleagues did the artwork for the accurate one for me. (Reply to this) (Parent)
