Journal - Percy Weasley
If anybody has visited my office lately and borrowed a quill, I would seriously suggest that you either return it or destroy it.

[Private to George Weasley]

WHAT THE BLOODY HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO MY QUILLS?!?!?! I almost sent the Minister a memo that said, and I quote, "You can expect my prick to meet with yours to our ultimate satisfaction". Do you have any idea how embarrassing that would have been?!

Why?

There appears to be a malfunction with my quills whereby they write... things that weren't intended, that could possibly prove quite embarrassing to the author.

Ah, I see. Or read, as the case may be. Good luck getting them back.

Too good to use a quill that one of the lesser folk may have gotten a hold of?

What are you on about, Zabini? There is a problem with the quills themselves.

Then perhaps you ought to lead with that next time.

Or perhaps you ought not to make assumptions about things you know not about.

Seeing as you have a habit of calling out people for thievery and having no tolerance for a lack of decorum it was a legitimate theory.

Did you borrow one from Rosie?

I made that mistake once.

I think not, I make an effort not to borrow quills from others. I believe the error lies in one I received as a gift, and I simply wish to mitigate any potential incidents.

Did you get it from your brother?

Honestly, Mr. Weasley, even I know better.

I believe it may have been one I received from one of my brothers, yes, though I had originally intended to keep it at home. I think my daughter thought to be helpful and collect her father's quills for her when I was looking for my current favourite the other day.

Come now, don't blame a child.

Kidding! Hope nothing too bad happened. Did it spill ink everywhere?

No blame on her part, she only sought to be helpful.

I only wish the damage were so easily corrected. No, it changed the wording of what was written unbeknownst to the writer, so if one didn't check one's spelling and grammar at least once or twice, then unfortunate mistakes would be sent out.

Oh. Well now that's brilliant. EVIL, mind. But brilliant.

Er, sorry about that. Hope it works out in the end!

You didn't, not just because I only know you by name, but mainly because I'd only ever do that to Eddie.

Well, that is a relief to know that I would not be a target of yours. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Likewise.

You know, if you'd like, I could help you with those quills. Removing a spell like that shouldn't be too difficult.

Thank you for the offer, but I have already destroyed them in response. I didn't want to take the risk of them falling into the wrong hands.

Holy Helga are your quills the epicentre for such delightful interdepartmental memos as "Can we have someone to guard the delegates cock" and "We need someone to wipe the Goblin jizz up" then?

Oh bloody hell Unfortunately, I suspect that is indeed the case. I apologize profusely, as it seems I am not the only one whose hand has held one of the quills in question. Were there any repercussions that I need to be aware of?

It's fine Percy. We all just figured that someone had a cursed quill. On a scale of vaguely confusing to the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement screaming "FOR FUCK'S SAKE" in the middle of a wedding ceremony it only ranks about a two.

Tell your brother he's brilliantly evil.

I don't know if that is reassuring or terrifying, but I am thankful no serious incident resulted in this error.

I will tell my brother no such thing - his ego is inflated enough already and the last thing I need is to encourage him.

[Warded and Runed to Percy Weasley]
It was meant to be reassuring, really. To be fair on Madame Savage she'd just been sent seven different owls simultaneously asking for her immediate presence at her daughter's wedding, so really it was totally understandable.

If he's pissed you off that much, go in and place a shrinking jinx on all his chairs - make him land on his arse every time he tries to sit down.

Worry not, I took it for reassuring - my sense of humour does not always come across well over the journals.

That is quite a good idea. Perhaps I might have to make use of it in the near future.

I? Haven't done anything to your quills. Now, what I might have done to them while they were still mine could be another matter entirely...

And I didn't realise you had those sorts of feelings for the Minister, but its certainly courageous of you to say so.

You're absolutely incorrigible. The fault is mine for believing that the quills were mundane even after initial cursory examination spells to check for hexes. However you managed that is quite fascinating.

Even after multiple examination spells, you shouldn't have believed anything less than incorrigible of me.

What on earth is wrong with you?

What can I say, I was distracted by birthday cake and a beautiful girl (your niece, of course). She's the one who "fetched Daddy's quills to take to work", you know.

Please tell me you didn't teach her that to assit in your schemes?
