RP: Sherlock visits the puppies.
Who: Cho & Rolf
What: Cho visits the puppies
Where: The Bestiary's animal sanctuary
When: Monday 9th March, afternoon [backdated]
Rating: SFW

Cho wore plain jeans and a sweatshirt, dressed down from her usual fair of heels and sensible dresses for work. She locked up the office after the girls headed out on their late lunch breaks and made the cold walk down Diagon toward Monument Alley and stopped into her flat to pick up Sherlock, who she tucked into a large purse. Sherlock poked his head out as she made her way down the street. She didn't take him out of the flat often and his curiosity was obvious, but when she entered Rolf's shop, Sherlock hunkered back down in the bag, smelling the other animals and clearly uncomfortable with the new environment.

"Hello?" She called out, unsure of what she should do or how something like this worked, having adopted Sherlock from Luna on a whim.

Rolf came around the counter when he saw Cho enter. He smiled at her in his friendly fashion. "Ah, there you are," he said in a welcoming voice. "And I think I glimpsed your Sherlock just there." He looked down at the first, trying to catch another glimpse of the cat. Animals almost always took a natural liking to him, an instinctual trust.

Over near the counter was a warded pen full of wolfhound puppies and Bast, who was sprawled in a magical sunbeam. Several of the wiggles had followed suit. He wondered if they were going to think they were cats, though Bast was more doglike than many cats, her breed inclining her that way. Bast raised her head lazily, though, sniffing the air.

Cho looked down to the bag on her arm as well, "I think he's a bit shy. I've never seen him with other animals before - when I took him off Luna's hands, we met up outside the shop so I never even saw him with his siblings," she shrugged and set the bag on the bench, cooing to him to calm him before reaching in to lift him out gently. Cho knew he wasn't a ickle little thing anymore, at 8 months old now, but she still treated him like precious cargo.

"Do you think it's bad for him? To be so scared?" She felt silly for asking the question and her face showed it but she didn't know, so she asked. Rolf was so friendly and open - at least, that's what she'd thought when she meant him once before - so she figured she was safe asking even stupid questions.

"Socializing with other animals is a good thing to do, though a lot of people don't bother with cats, I think. Give him some time to warm up, and he might surprise you. Young animals especially like to play with others." He offered the tips of his fingers to the feline to sniff, introducing himself.

"A little fear isn't unhealthy. We'll do it slowly, and if it seems to much, we'll let him retreat. We'll start with him in a small pen next to them, so he's not pounced right away." He gestured politely to her to follow him and started back toward the back, where all the pens were.
