Chuckling at the look she gave him, Marcus made sure she had a firm grip on the handle of her broom before releasing it, smiling a little wider at her words. "And you know that I'm never going to let a broom in my possession fall into disrepair - especially yours," he answered teasingly. Aside from his obsession with all things flying, it had always been unspoken between them that he would take care of anything he could on Bryony's behalf, and something as simple as broom maintenance wasn't exactly a hardship.
He waited until he was sure Bryony was completely steady before climbing astride his own broom, hovering a little closer to the ground to help compensate for their difference in height. "I was thinking maybe down towards the pond," Marcus said with a shrug. "But it's really up to you. Where ever you'd like to go is fine by me."
