RP: At the apothecary
Who: Adrian + OPEN
What: Adi is refilling his stores.
Where: The apothecary on Diagon
When: March 4, 2005
Rating: SFW (I'd assume)

There were some things you just couldn't grow yourself or buy via owl, even these days. Adrian sighed as he read various bottles and looked again at the list he'd scrawled out in a hurry back at his flat. It was a clear night but cold and he'd even warn his cloak - usually reserved for when his mother came to town. He bundled it closer to himself and shoved the list back into his pocket.

The door opened and he looked up institutionally, surprised that someone else might be coming in after hours but before he could see who it was he moved on to another section of the store, looking for a specific dried herb and chastising himself for wasting time in the bottles.

It would have been so much easier to simply send an owl with an order for what she needed refilled, but after a day of rescheduling and clearing schedules and rushing last minute to stand in for Rich at a meeting in Glasgow, Mils no longer wanted to be anywhere inside.

Except, of course, that she was inside a building right now, but it didn't quite count. To her, anyway. They weren't her own four walls, and that was what mattered.

"Adi," she called, putting her bag on the nearest work-surface. "You're in here, so stop hiding from me, and help me restock my cabinet so Jane doesn't hex me in my sleep at how disgraceful the state of it is."

When Adrian heard his cousin's voice call out to him he gave a sheepish smile for himself and then straightened up his demeanor before rounding the corner to where the sound had come from. "And how did you know it was me in here? Could be anyone," he drawled, leaning against the goods and giving her a look.

"And we both know Jane wouldn't hex you for anything in the world, so that's an empty threat, from you and from her," he chuckled.
