Genie had been wanting to go to open mic night for a while. Ever since she heard about it, in fact. She felt lately like she wasn’t giving her music enough time and love, especially since none of her jobs currently involved her singing, which often they had in the past. She’d brought her worn guitar in with her. She figured some people would charm their instruments, but she was a purist; even if she could do the charms, she wouldn’t. It was never quite the same.

She planned on taking at least two turns up there. Certainly she had work later tonight – in fact she was taking a few hours tonight, just to b here – but she was going to enjoy herself for now. A refresher for the soul, so to speak. Even her wolf enjoyed music.
