Of Curry and Wine
Who: Roger and Cho

What: Friendly dinner

Where: Cho's flat in Monument Alley

When: Monday evening

Rating: SFW - may change depending on language

It was about seven o'clock in the evening when Roger finally found his way to Cho's door. Practice had run late, and he'd been slightly distracted by a certain fellow Chaser's hair, so he hadn't been paying as much attention as he possibly should have.

Since it was only Cho however, he'd simply gotten changed in the locker room, apparated across from a great magical Indian place they both liked, and and bought a bottle of red on the way to Cho's from there. It was for that reason, combined with the fact that he didn't want to frighten Sherlock the new kitten, that Roger knocked on the door instead of barging in like normal.

"Oi Chang, let me in! I come bearing Indian food and and wine!"

Cho rolled her eyes at him but her mood changed quickly.

She half-heartedly nodded along with his conclusion. It wasn't a question of her self-esteem, if you asked her (though had she looked more deeply, she might have seen that Roger was partly right). "He was great, wasn't he? He was just... somehow better than all of us. I always thought the Goblet knew, that's why it picked him. He was more than his House or his family pressures or anything - he was just good for the sake of being good, you know? None of us live up to that... I'm not sure anyone really does." She shrugged again, admitting her fears.

When he asked about work she coked her a bit a in thought, "Yes. Well, for the most part. Happy brides and angry brides are both challenging in their own ways, I suppose, and there are other parties to throw besides weddings. Melinda and Carmen and Mum are all trying to convince me to expand. Get office space and the like, I just... I don't know if I can do it. I'd have to hiring more assistants and how can you trust someone else to run an event properly, you know?" To say Cho had control issues was probably an understatement, especially when it came to Charming Parties.

He nodded sadly and brought her in for a hug. "He was a great man yes, for all the reasons you say." He made a face for a moment, then kissed the top of her head before continuing, "But we both know he would be the first to tell you that everyone has the ability to be great."

He grinned wickedly at her. "But do you prefer Bridezillas or um, whatever pun can be made about happy brides?" He sat up to look at her properly, grinning hugely. "You should totally expand. Hell maybe I'd try and marry Marcus if you did, just to give you a huge project with lots of media attention."
