Rolf chuckled deeply. "Well, that wasn't the intention, but so long as my girlfriend is happy," he said, looping his arms loosely around her. "Though of course I never turn down a chance to get lucky with you." He waggled his eyebrows comically. He released her and watched the puppies crawl over each other. They were growing so fast, but all three were thriving now. Between his and Rose's feedings and vigiliance and Bast's careful oversight, nothing more had happened to the poor abandoned things.
"Exactly! That's the thing that this place is known for -- being warm and cosy while being able to watch one of the most spectacular natural light shows on earth." He loved such things. But then, nature had fascinated him his entire life, in all its forms and wonders. "The only arse freezing we have to do is if we have to leave the bed for some reason and we haven't set the temperature right." He grinned.
