Adrian looked Alicia up and down - he rarely saw her in a dress, especially one like this - all bright and short and beautiful. When she complimented him, he looked himself up and down, his dark blue and black ensemble feeling under-dressed.
Their lunch had been a nice respite in the middle of the day - hearing all about the kids heading to school and her work with the Foundation. It seemed to have gone smoothly, and he was grateful on her behalf.
