Dean sighed, he could only imagine how that would go down with someone he was thinking of seeing, or had just started seeing. How it would go down with the members of Battlescars? "Excellent but massively impractical idea. I mean assuming I don't suddenly fall in love with someone who has some experience with the war." He rolled his eyes and snorted. It wasn't like he knew everyone who had been involved in the war, far from it, but he knew enough of them that it seemed a ridiculous prospect. Not that anyone else could relate precisely to Dean's specific circumstances, but a knowledge of the war would help so much.
The grumbling made Dean smile, because he knew Seamus wasn't actually complaining. He wasn't quite expecting the impressiveness of the cake which appeared, but he recognised and admired Melinda's work. "'Course I want it all. I am a very demanding person," he teased. He considered the cake and felt sorry for whoever had been proposing. "Pity, I bet the cake is great," he said expectantly, waiting to try it. "And I doubt it was Ron and Hermione. For one thing I can't imagine he'd propose with cake, and I seriously doubt Hermione would say no." That would have been good news for the day.
