"Still don't actually want to risk it," he muttered, "Spain's been turning out good stuff." He was feeling a bit petulant even as he was wrapped up by Seamus. Everything felt a little bit less awful lying here wrapped up with his best friend and warm. Deans eyebrows shot up at the mention of banshees, he must be really angry if that was what he was suggesting. Seamus was terrified of them. He grabbed Seamus' arm and squeezed. It was meant to be comforting but turned a little tight as he continued speaking. "I know you're pissed off, and I'm pretty sure I will be too in a couple of days, but I just... I can't actually process this now. I don't... God why would she say that? You don't yell things like that in public!" Instead of turning angry Dean was getting upset again and feeling close to tears.
He took several deep breaths to calm himself down again. "Yeah, but you know what I mean. Fuelled by a little too much auror training and the fact she can be bloody terrifying," he said. He knew he couldn't actually stop Susan doing anything, but a little restraint might be nice.
"Awesome," Dean said, a smile lingering around his mouth but not quite expressing itself. "I mean not the lack of Valentine thing, that clearly sucks, but I'm glad you want me to stick around." Quite frankly there wasn't anywhere he'd rather be right now. Even feeling minorly squashed by Seamus. Actually especially that. Even with Seamus' head below his own he still managed to feel like he was wrapping Dean in a blanket of comfort.
"Much as I appreciate the extra Seamus-shaped blanket, and I really do," he said, the arms that had automatically wrapped around Seamus tighter as he'd settled in squeezing slightly before returning to the occasional random stroking. "Just, you mentioned cake and my wand isn't quite reachable, and I kind of want something more than chocolate," he said, not actually letting Seamus up just yet.
