Alicia smirked back at Susan before she chuckled. “Not when the kids are at school,” she grinned, “then it’s quite calming, actually.” She paused for a moment, then looked at her friend. “Who’s being a knucklehead these days?”
“No, it’s certainly not in the Caribbean, but even Jackson Hole in Wyoming seems warm compared to here, and the snow there came up to over my hips!” With a shudder that came unbidden from just thinking about how cold it was outside, she took a sip of her coffee, hoping that that would provide some heat. “Physiotherapy,” continued, going straight back to Susan’s questions. “I thought we talked about that… wow, that was a long time ago. Back in August, I think. Anyway, I applied, only had to, uhm, fix the name of my current employer for the practical experience part.” She smiled at Susan, her cheeks heating up a little at the thought of what Adrian thought of it. “He’s supportive. Claims he never doubted I’d get in, and well, he wants me to start living my own dreams again.”
