I've nothing against Valentine's Day, but I've everything against Valentine's Day being used as an excuse to force people (specifically me this time) into awkward social engagements (specifically a date). The only good thing about this is that my parents have dragged my sister into this as well.

Ew isn't exactly my first thought on this whole thing, but it expresses my thoughts just as well as others.

I don't mind it so long as I'm not being forced into it in one way or another. Had I someone to share it with who was someone of my own choosing, ~~which would never happen either way~~ I'd like to think I've more sense than to pull out all the stops on a day designed for it when I think it'd be more meaningful coming on a day that isn't advertising itself as a love day. But then, what do I know? I don't make money off this holiday.

	Because it's annoying? That's (one of the reasons) why it annoys me. It is silly, to say the least, but that's how they are. ~~I'm debating on hurting myself at work to get out of this, except~~ I'm trying to look on the bright side, that after this I can be left in peace for awhile.
