"Late," Cormac whispered, leaning up to kiss her forehead. "Did I wake you?" He hand on his chest woke him a bit more than his thoughts had, more than the moonlight had, and his heart picked up a bit in pace. Just something about the feel of her skin on his, always did that to him.
