Private to Cormac/Melinda
Well, being Gryffindor DOES make you more likely be spur of the moment with expressing feelings like that, and believe it or not: it does affect the person who's hearing it. But let me ask you this: what makes you think I know how to do this? The only last man who told me he loved me started distancing himself immediately after, making me feel like a fool for not only believing it, but actually meaning it when I told him the same thing. It's nothing to freak out over, it's nothing to be scared of. Love is just a name for a feeling. I bet that if you'd instead chosen to name that feeling Benjamin, you wouldn't have been nearly as scared of it.
It sounds like you have a really nice time planned for the two of you, and I really am happy for you, Cormac.
I will put together a basket for her with the things I know she likes, but I'm not writing the personal note for it. You have to do that, and you have to pick out the card and the flowers, deal?
And I did not wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
