You guys! I have a new kitten! She doesn't have a name yet, as I've just gone and picked her up, but she's trolling about my flat and pouncing on everything in sight, so she needs a fierce name. Any suggestions welcome, though I will probably ignore all of them!

Private to Harry, Hermione, and Ron
Oi, you lot. Luna and Neville. They are perfect for each other and need to go out on a date. Problem is, I don't think either of them would agree to go if they knew who it was. So blind date! I need help setting this up, and you've all just been recruited to help. Lucky you. I'm thinking next Saturday at that cute little place in Hogsmeade? Hermione, will you find out if Luna is available? Ron and Harry, you take Neville. He's going to take more persuading into a blind date than Luna will.

No promises, but I think Ron and I can swing it. Are you sure it's a good idea though? Blind dates are terrible. But I suppose this is different, right?

I mean, how terrible can it go? They're already friends. Worst that happens is they have a huge laugh at our expense, which I can live with. Best is they get married and have the most awkward children ever.

Why a blind date? Why not plan a get together just the six of us? You and Harry can suddenly have something come up leaving Ron and I to meet them. Then we can make an excuse to exit ourselves leaving them stuck there with food they've already ordered.

Ditching your friends is uncool. Letting them know it's a date beforehand, is slightly more acceptable (not by much, but slightly)

Fine then. Let's not do it as a blind date. Do it as a double date.

Do you really think Luna and Neville will agree to go on a date if we tell them it's a date beforehand?

I just don't like the idea of doing it blind. At least with my idea they know who will be there and that at some point in the evening Ron and I will have to leave them.

They won't know they're being ditched, silly.

How about we try it my way, and if it doesn't work, we'll do it yours?

If you can't trust your friends to set you up, who can you trust, really? I mean, come on. Like I told Harry, worst that happens is they have a giant laugh at our expense, best is they get married and have adorably awkward children.

I am perfectly okay with both options.

Live a little, 'Mione! (Or you could be next, if things with you and Ron don't pick up. I have plenty of single brothers left to pick from)

No but they would at least know who's company they would be in before hand.

That said if she asks who I cannot promise I wont't tell.

Okay, if you're going to ruin it, I'll just ask Luna myself.

I'm not going to ruin it but I'm also not going to out right lie to her about who she would spend the evening with if I'm asked.

My personal suggestion would be to name her Artemis, after the Greek Goddess of the hunt and the Amazons, but then I am rather fond of the Greek myths (and you must admit that Hermes is a far superior name to Scabbers).

Your niece would like to offer up Seeker, as your new kitten sounds like it is chasing after a snitch, and Lucy is also now asking to visit next weekend to play with the kitten because I told her that no we are not getting one for here (it would give poor Hermes a heart attack).

Congratulations on the pet, by the by.

Artemis is far too predictable.

Seeker can go on the short list.

How's that Perce? Bested by a child. She is welcome at any time. Hermes is still kicking it, is he? I'd have thought you'd have worked him to death by now.

Artemis is elegant.

Lucy is quite pleased.

It is neither the first nor the last time I am bested by my daughter, and I am certainly man enough to accept my defeat gracefully. And no, I take excellent care of Hermes - I save the working to death for the Ministry owls.
