If Theo had been privy to Gwenog's thoughts he would have had to question that; he was so unused to basic human decency that it came across to him as kindness, as niceness both. Theo was grateful for people who ignored him without going out of their way to hurt him, that being a display of human decency as far as he was concerned. Anything else was kindness and this, all the time and effort and care and concern Gwenog was showing him was over and above all that. He'd never know how to pay her back.
He was sore in awful places but he knew from experience that it would pass. "I can-" he knew he shouldn't Apparate really but the idea of getting to a Floo, surrounded by all those people and looking the way he did made him feel more sick than the idea of being splinched. "I'll apparate." Oh, and also- "I'm Theodore, by the way. Theo." He was pretty sure he could keep her name even in his sometimes sieve-like mind. "Gwenog..." he said, like he was burning it into his man and then, "Gwenog." More direct. "Thank you."
