Journal - Genie
So I've a bunch of scented candles, bath oils, soaps, and such done up after a week of brewing on and off. All nonmagical at the moment, but I'm planning on changing that eventually. If anyone wants to buy some, especially considering a certain romantic holiday is coming up sooner than you'd think, I'm selling real reasonable like.

I think I might need to actually buy an owl. It'd be a first in a long time for our household, but I"m tired of running to the post or depending on what little friendly action I have around here. But on the other hand, I live in Muggleland, so I don't know that it's wise. Thoughts?

To my knowledge, living around Muggles hasn't stopped other wizards and witches from having and using an owl. Don't let it stop you. One owl may raise a brow, but it isn't a parliament of them.

Good to know, thanks! I try to be careful, but this is the most contact I've had with the wizarding world in a long time.

I live in a muggle area too. And I might not own an owl but I receive enough that I know it's pretty rare that it's a problem. If you're owning an owl you might want to be careful not to send too much post during the day, but otherwise you should be fine.

Wouldn't hurt me to class up the hot tub room in my flat. You have a catalog or do on-site consulting?

One of the office assistants runs a messenger service on the side. I tend to use his people more often than the post. And, unlike owls, I don't have to feed them when I don't need them. I can give you his contact information if you'd like.

I haven't reprinted a catalog since moving, but I have an old one. I'm rather small time, but since my move seems somewhat permanent at the moment, and my ties to the wizarding world stronger, I'd hoped to up sales a little bit. I'd be glad to meet and discuss though. I'm not real formal or whatnot, I do a little online selling and usually hit the local markets.

Hm. I'm not sure I could afford a messenger service. People are so much more demanding than birds, even if I don't always trust the birds.

We can set up a time for you to come look at my place. It's pretty much all industrial mancave right now.

I'd think you could pass the cost on to the customers who want their order delivered within a couple of hours and don't want to risk it to an owl or the postman.

When would be good for you? I work nights from Thursday to Sunday nights, but other than that, I can juggle my shifts around to suit. Industrial mancaves should definitely be prettied up, especially if you have guests!

Hm, true. I don't have a demand for that yet, since I'm starting all over here, essentially, but it's something to keep in mind for the future.

Yeah, not so much in the guests department, but I can always hope. My schedule is pretty flexible since I keep all sorts of odd hours. I'm out of town Tuesday, but other than that I should be open.

All it takes is an invitation, right? Hehe ;) All right. How about Wednesday afternoon? Send me where I should meet you and what time works best.

Well, consider yourself invited. I'll be home Wednesday afternoon after 2pm.

Wheaton Wharf on Clink Street. That's river side, first building east of the railroad bridge. The metal door right across from Gourmet Burger.
