Shrugging his shoulders slightly, Marcus answered, "Still, I wish I could have been there for you." It did make him feel a bit better that he hadn't missed seeing any of Bryony's work, and that she knew he would have been there if he could.

Smiling in contrast to her frown, he told her sincerely, "I'm looking forward to it." After all the support she had given him over the years, he couldn't imagine not being there for her in return.

"Not nearly soon enough," Marcus answered, warily considering flying with Roger in the morning. Aside from the personal considerations of that encounter, he was eager to get back on a broom, if only to have something to focus on to clear his head once more.
