Adrian noticed the fresh lip glass and smiled to himself inwardly, but of course wouldn't let her anything of the sort. It made him slightly self-conscious - just for a moment - of his rumpled summer clothes and mess of curly hair. Not that he ever looked much different, mind you, but still.
"Pizza it is," he said, opening the door for and shaking the thoughts away.
As she told him more about what the kids had been up to, he perked up, "Please tell me you'll finally let me buy them proper potions sets for the birthday this year. Last year you told me they were too young, but I've got some brilliant stuff from when I was a kid. Then again, Father had me working in his postions lab by the time I was there age, so that's out, but still." There wasn't much in this world Adrian loved more than potions, and certainly nothing he'd admit to.
Blanching at her nickname her retorted, "I will never be 'unca' anything, thank you. She did have news though - it's a girl." Sera had gotten the news just a few days ago and so far family were the only ones to know, but Adrian had wanted to share the news - he was more excited than he thought he'd be.
They hit the street and he directed the way, heading down and out of Monument Alley and down a muggle side street that was generally well hidden from other passerby.
