Entry tags:character: blaise zabini, character: pandora montgomery, character: richard summerby, character: tristan travers

Who: Pandora, nd all her acquaintances/friends who would come to a get together (Slytherin classmates, friends, relatives, etc). Please tag yourselves in!

What: little get together/party

Where: Rich's flat

When: evening, Wednesday December 17th [BACKDATED]

Rating: Probably SFW?

Rich had offered to hot the thing, so she'd provided him with as accurate a count of people who would come to the get-together as she could. With the holidays, it was an iffier prospect that usual, but she'd done her best. It was really nice of him to want to throw her a celebration for moving up in the ranks in their apprenticeship situation, and one she wanted to have. There were other Christmas parties, but not as many things like this in her life.

It had been a long time since someone wanted to celebrate something positive in her life in a public manner.

The trip to Paris had settled her somewhat, at least. England was no longer the bane it had been there for a while, and she made a mental note to get away a little more often. As weirdly attached as she was to this stupid island, her mental health required a break sometimes. Well, what mental health she possessed anyway.

She went up early to help Rich set everything up and wait for everyone to arrive. She smiled at the man fondly. "Thank you for hosting this, Rich," she told him.

The cleaning service and the caterers had done their smuggle version of holiday magic and the huge main room of the flat gleamed from polish and subdued holiday lights while the big table over by the windows was loaded with food and drink for the occasion. For a former furniture-maker's shop, it looked pretty good if he did say so himself.

"You put a lot of hard work into coming as far as you did as fast as you did. Not only should hard work be rewarded, but think of it as an incentive. The jump from journeyman to master will not be so easy, even for you. The celebration when you do will be epic compared to this. There aren't many of us left that keep to the old traditions, so we all tend to get together when a new master reaches rank."

He grinned. "Not to mention when I picked this big barn for my own, I couldn't help but notice the entertainment potentials of all this open space. Nice to break it in on something like this."

She pushed back her hair and smile at him. "Yes, I know it'll be a push, but it's a challenge I'm up for," Dora said. It was confidence but not arrogance. Dora knew how to work very hard, and this kind of trying was good for her, both body and mind, most days. She knew that if she kept at it, she'd make master eventually. "Though I have to say, I'll look forward to the celebration."

She nodded, eyes flickering around. She'd been here before, of course, but never for anything like this. "It is set up very nicely for entertaining," she agreed. "I'm glad I could help you break it in, as it were. I really should do al ittle more myself, but I've just been busy." Which was admittedly her excuse for a lot of things, but an accurate one.
